The BarnJovi Band was formed in late 2008 by musicians who were old friends who had worked together with some of the most historic performers on the Louisville music scene, including Cosmo and the Counts, The Epics, The Sultans, The Monarchs, The Mystics, The Saints, Tim Krekel, Turley Richards and Walker and Kays. Originally, the band got together to play good music for its own sake, but the idea soon developed that something could evolve out of this reunion which might make the world a little better - performing in the barn for which the band is named, with collecting charitable contributions from the audience the goal. Through word-of-mouth a loyal following formed, awaiting each upcoming performance, and all proceeds from each event are donated to local charities known to do good in the community. Guest artists sit in with the band on a regular basis, and the band's repertoire changes and expands with each performance. The BarnJovi Band now has its own CDs and merchandise available through this website. 100% percent of all donations and proceeds from purchases go to charity, with the WHAS Crusade for Children being the current choice. Music has always made the world a better place - the BarnJovi Band wants to make that cliché into an absolute reality - join us, enjoy, and take part in making the life-affirming nature of rock 'n' roll a reality for those in need.
